- Boeing and Lockheed Martin's EELV merger into the United Launch Alliance is nearing approval. I think Keith Cowing has an appropriate photo. Jeff Foust has more.
- The Mars Rover, Spirit, is holed up for the winter and digging into the ground.
- XCOR is looking for a mechanical design engineer.
- Eileen Collins said she will not be returning to space. NASA is going to get as many new astronauts up as possible. (So what, 6 or 7?). Is she hot or is it just the astronaut thing?
- The Florida House has finally approved the $50 million in space industry incentives.

- Russia and Malaysian are teaming up in space. Four Malaysian cosmonauts will fly to Russian on April 27. Presumably they will be going up on the Soyuz eventually.
- Speaking of Iran and Malaysia, a conference in Kuala Lumpur of scholars and scientists said "Muslim nations should embark on space programs to boost their international standing."
- NASA said that Discovery can launch on schedule. Sure, which one?
- Scientists at the Binary Research Institute think that the new planet (yeah I said it) Sedna points to the Sun having a companion star. That is awesome. Just tell me which one it is, I'll go get my telescope.
