- The Lunar Lander contest is official. The X-Prize Foundation and NASA are officially offering $2.5 million for a lunar lander analog with two phases. The first contest will be in October at the X-Prize Cup in New Mexico.

- Florida Today is unhappy with the cuts to the state space budget, from $50 million down to $43 million.
- Anousheh Ansari is officially the backup to Daisuke Enomoto, the next ISS tourist. I believe that makes here next on the list after him. She will be the first female space tourist.
